Messy Church at Peter John Church
Messy Church is held monthly, usually on the first Tuesday of the month at St Peter and St John’s Church. It’s run by volunteers from the church.
Our next Messy Church dates are October 4th, Nov 1st, Dec 6th
Here’s what we do:
5.00pm till 5.30pm—we eat a meal together. There is no charge for the food, but you can make a donation if you like.
5.30 till 6.10pm—we have 3 or 4 craft activities or games that you can do with the children you have brought. We will need you to stay with your children and help them as the helpers running the activity will not be able to help every child.
6.10 pm till 6.30pm—we have the Messy Church celebration, this usually consists of a story, a song, drama or game, some prayers and news about other things that may interest you or your children.
The aim is to have fun, create community and learn about God together.
There are two things we’d like you do so you get the most out of Messy Church
1. Please stay for the whole hour and half session and encourage your children to stay as well. Please note that you are responsible for your children at all times. When you come for the first time we will ask you to fill in a Contact form
2. Please bring enough adults to help the children with the crafts. We suggest 1 adult to 3 children. If you would like to bring more than 3 children, could you think of another adult to come along as well?
