Thank you to everyone who helped
We had three lovely mornings beside 'Lake Galilee' learning stories about Jesus and doing lots of crafts together. A BIG thank you to everyone who helped.

Messy Church is changing format after a number of years running. Messy Church normally runs on a Tuesday after school, we have noticed that for many of our families there is a huge number of after school opportunities and our numbers have been falling.
We have decided to relaunch Messy Church in a new format at a new time. So every school holiday we will hold a Messy Church event for you and your children. It will be the usual mix of fun, games, crafts, food, stories and celebration time however we wont offer a full meal. This is because we will hold it between 9:30 am and 12 noon so there will be a snack time and more time for crafts and activities.
We hope this means more of you will be able to come along.
Here are the forward dates:
Good Friday 14th April 2017
June Half Term:
Thursday 1st June 2017
August 1st – 3rd 2017
October Half Term:
Thursday 26th October 2017
Thursday 4th January 2018 (Film Night)
If you miss the chance to do something monthly with your child don't forget you are very welcome at Worship for All on the first Sunday of every month where your child can go into the Children's Choir
School is just around the corner of the weekend - do I hear cheers?
I hope you've all had a brilliant summer.
Just to let you know about Messy Church Plans at St Peter and St John's for this Autumn.
We don't meet in Sept as we've found in the past that the children are usually on day one or two of school and are too exhausted.
So Messy Church is on
Oct 4th - learning about thankfulness (decorating cakes, making fake scary scabs, making a thankfulness banner and making happy/sad people)
Nov 1st - bringing light to the world (making lighthouses, see photo and doing science experiments with ice, also meeting the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust Hedgehog Officer)
Dec 6th - a special messenger to Mary (Christmas theme) lots of Christmas crafts plus invisible secret messages)
Meanwhile you might also want to know about the following:
Free Sunday morning Children's activity: Children's Choir, 9:30 -11.30 am every first Sunday of the month, free to join in. Any school age child with an interest in singing or performing is welcome to join the Children's Choir. Bring them along to rehearse at 9.30am and then come back if you can to hear them in action at 10.30am during the short family friendly 'Worship for All' service. We finish with drinks and biscuits at 11.30. We have a brilliant children's music teacher leading the choir, Sam Plumbley for more information contact her on 07980289140. The next choir session is on Oct 2nd
Learn to make Soup: come and join the PJ Veg Beds team on Oct 8th 11am-12noon at St Peter and St John's Church, using some of the stuff we've grown. All ages welcome.
Messy Church at Peter John Church
Messy Church is held monthly, usually on the first Tuesday of the month at St Peter and St John’s Church. It’s run by volunteers from the church.
Our next Messy Church dates are October 4th, Nov 1st, Dec 6th
Here’s what we do:
5.00pm till 5.30pm—we eat a meal together. There is no charge for the food, but you can make a donation if you like.
5.30 till 6.10pm—we have 3 or 4 craft activities or games that you can do with the children you have brought. We will need you to stay with your children and help them as the helpers running the activity will not be able to help every child.
6.10 pm till 6.30pm—we have the Messy Church celebration, this usually consists of a story, a song, drama or game, some prayers and news about other things that may interest you or your children.
The aim is to have fun, create community and learn about God together.
There are two things we’d like you do so you get the most out of Messy Church
1. Please stay for the whole hour and half session and encourage your children to stay as well. Please note that you are responsible for your children at all times. When you come for the first time we will ask you to fill in a Contact form
2. Please bring enough adults to help the children with the crafts. We suggest 1 adult to 3 children. If you would like to bring more than 3 children, could you think of another adult to come along as well?
