Children's Choir Restarting Sunday 3rd Sept

8/24/2017

We are delighted to announce that we have a new children's choir leader at PJs, a young lady called Melody. If you were at the holiday club at the start of August you may have met her as she came along to teacher some songs.
The children's choir is a FREE monthly children's activity on the first Sunday of every month. It is aimed at 4 to 11-year-olds, although we are fairly flexible around those ages. Here's how it works:
9:30 AM drop off your children at PJ church, please stay with them if they are four or under.
9:30 AM till 10:10 ish, Melody will take the children through some singing and warmup exercises before teaching them a simple song that they will perform that morning in the service.
10:30 AM 'Worship for All' starts, this is a short all age friendly service, during which the children will perform their song. Generally the service lasts 45 to 50 minutes and ends with T, coffee, squash and biscuits. Parents are invited to come back for the service but if you are unable to do so please make sure you collect your children by 11:30 AM.
As the regulars will know, we also do a 'breakfast/snack' for the children around 10:10 AM, before the service.

There is no audition and no charge. The purpose of the group is to encourage participation and self-confidence.
If you would like to know more please do get in contact with Melody her email address is melody@peterjohnchurch.org.uk or use the contact form on this website.
It would be great to see you on Sunday 3rd September when our theme will be, appropriately, "A BIG New Beginning"
