Well done and thank you to everyone who came out to help with the Save the Bees event. Great teamwork between local residents, people from Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, Benn's Friends and our own PJ Veg Beds group. Well done Angela for organising us. About 10-12 patches of wildflowers seeds were planted at the end of the old railway line on the open ground where it meets Abbey Street. Children and families from St Andrew's Benn school walk past the site regularly so hopefully both wildlife and wonderful people will all benefit from the beauty and colour.

Radio 4 this morning has been talking about the loss of wildflowers in our countryside and this has a huge impact on bees, here at Peter John Church we are doing something about this!
We have already planted wildflowers in our garden but this Saturday we will be planting some wildflowers down on the railway line footpath that runs adjacent to our church. Come along and help and know that you have made a difference.
We are seeking to create a local 'beeline' by encouraging wildlife in our public spaces.
Do come along on Good Friday morning to St Peter and St Johns Messy Church Easter Workshop. We will be making an Easter garden, making cards and Easter biscuits, making finger puppet butterflies, an Easter Sunrise, enjoying an egg hunt and playing games in the garden if it's fine. Also come and hear the story of Easter and celebrate the hope it brings us.
