Great time together this morning - making soup from all the lovely veg that's been harvested lately. (Thanks Roy for all the contributions from 'Lost the Plot'). It was all so busy, with all hands on deck, I didn't get time to take photos.
11 adults and two children came along, plus two more adults towards the end - just to eat the soup! We made Spicy Cauliflower Soup - recipe below. Butternut Squash soup, with some carrots and a general vegetable soup which had onion, carrot, spinach, spices, potato and courgette. I can confirm that all were yummy! We ate up the Cauliflower soup between, some was taken home and the rest will be frozen ready to be used for our Christian Aid Meal on Sunday 16th. Thanks everyone for bringing produce, equipment and enthusiasm. Some of the group even also managed to bag up some leaves, get the lawns cut and tidied the Veg Beds. Next event Nov 12th - making your garden wildlife friendly, come along and make a bug box and learn about looking after hedgehogs. Below is the Cauliflower Soup Recipe :
