Children's Choir

PictureWe have a lot of fun at Children's choir!
Our Children's Choir rehearse from 9.30am with Caroline, our children's choir leader on the first Sunday of every month.  The children  then perform during our short family friendly Family Service starting at 10:30am. You are welcome to bring your children along to take part in this free and enjoyable activity.  The service will be about 45 mins long and finishes with tea, coffee and biscuits.

The choir is open to children age  4 and above, younger ones are also welcome but we ask you to stay with them. We'd also love older children and teenagers to join in.

Details of our Zoom Children's Choir Service
Sunday 3rd May 2020 at 10.30am

Hello, for those of you who don't know me I’m Caroline, the children’s choir leader at church and I need your help!

The theme of our all age service on Sunday is Jesus being the Good Shepherd so I’ve changed the words to a very well-known song about sheep. Can you guess which nursery rhyme we’ve chosen?!..... Baa baa black sheep!

Watch the youtube video below for the music and find somebody who will record you and sing along with the new words.  This is how it goes…

Baa baa my sheep, do you hear me call?
Yes Lord, Yes Lord, catch me when I fall!
You are my shepherd, you are my King,
You are my God above, to you we sing!

(I found it helpful to split my screen so that I could see the words of the original alongside this version!)

You are also invited to make a sheep out of paper, wool or anything else you can find. If not, you could draw a picture of a sheep. You could even dress as sheep! We are going to pray for people that you know, so please write the name of anyone you want us to pray for on the back of your sheep. Click here for a template of a sheep if you need one!

Please email your recordings to my email address caroline.tavinor@hotmail.com by Friday 1st May at the latest and we will put the individual recordings together and make a wonderful sound.  Then all you have to do is come along on Sunday morning and see your own performance along with everyone else.  When we receive your video we will send you the Zoom link for the service.

All this will help us explore our theme of Jesus being our Good Shepherd who knows where his sheep are.

I can’t wait to see them all! Thank you!
